Diagnosis of Endogenous Hyperinsulinism (2)
In infants below the age of two years, insulin-secreting tumours are so rare that either functional hyperinsulinism (nesidioblastosis) or malicious sulphonylurea administration must be considered the likely cause of endogenous hyperinsulinism.
